Homemade Beer Soap

I have a friend, who has a friend, who makes soap from beer. Knowing that I'm a homebrewer, my friend said to me, if I had any stale beer, his friend would like to make soap from it. As it turned out, I did have some stale beer. I had 2.5 gallons or so of an oatmeal stout that had a sherry-like yeast infection. It was slowly drying the beer out and nobody was drinking it, so I handed it over. A month later, I got a few bars of soap. I thought it was a good deal since I was never going to drink the beer anyway.

Wish I had known you could make beer soap. We just poured about a case of Imperial Stout down the drain that has wild yeast too. Oh, well. now I know for next time...

It sucks when you have a dumper. This oatmeal stout was the first dumper that I have had in years. I was fortunate that I was able to find something to do with it.
